100% yes. Many home owners feel that a home should have no issues when it is newly built, and therefore do not have an inspection. Although some builders are great about fixing issues that you may have with the home throughout your first few years of ownership, others are not.
Having the home inspection up front, and requiring certain repairs before the builder is able to close tends to work out a little easier. Once they get paid....they may be a little difficult to locate if your AC goes out or something of that nature!
