I am Rukitamo. I am Newbie to here.
I am so upset right now, we just received a letter from our Home Owner's Insurance (Royal Palm insurance Co.) that they are cancelling our Insurance because we have a Rottweiler! We have lived there for 10 years and have had him for almost 9 years .....I have never heard of this. Has anyone else had this problem?
He is not aggressive and has never growled at anyone and certainly has never bitten anyone. He most likely will not live more than 9 months with his heart condition, what do they really think he is going to do????
We are in the middle of Hurricane Season and I fear it will be impossible to obtain alternate insurance at this time.
They have never come into the home to observe him in his environment, they may have done an inspection of the outer perimeter of our home, and like any dog, he will bark.
He is always on a leash, he is never allowed to roam free. He is an indoor dog and is the love of all the children in the neighborhood.
I have contacted the Humane Society of the United States, what else can we do?
